The Ministry of Energy and Mining, in cooperation with the Environmental Protection Fund and with the technical support of UNDP, prepared a Program for improving energy efficiency in households. The purpose of the Program is to provide households with non-refundable support to cover part of the costs for investments in the improvement of energy efficiency.
The program envisages the establishment of a financial mechanism for improving energy efficiency and increasing the use of available sources of renewable energy by households, which will contribute to the further development of the green economy. This program will contribute to the reduction of energy consumption and related costs, reduction of energy intensity, reduction of carbon dioxide emissions, better use of resources, improvement of the level of comfort in residential buildings, employment of domestic labor force, and improvement of air quality and reduction of negative impact on human health.
In order to successfully implement the program, UNDP has published an advertisement for the establishment of a roster of engineers who will support the implementation of the Program for improving energy efficiency in households.
