On Saturday, March 23, 2024, hundreds of millions of people will unite on all continents to contribute to the preservation of the planet by turning off the lights for one hour – the Hour for Earth.
Earth Hour is a global campaign involving individuals, organizations, institutions and companies to send a strong message that significant steps can be taken to mitigate the effects of climate change.
Earth Hour began as an initiative of one city (Sydney, Australia) in 2007, and to date it has taken on the characteristics of a global movement with hundreds of millions of people from more than 7000 cities around the world, who by turning off the lights on this date created a historic event and one of the world’s largest initiatives ever, when it comes to environmental protection.
Citizens of Montenegro can join the activity with a symbolic act of turning off the lights on Saturday, March 23, in the period from 20:30 to 21:30 p.m. in order to raise awareness of the importance of energy saving.
