Minister of Energy and Mining Sasa Mujovic and Executive Director of Eco-fund Drasko Boljevic signed yesterday a Cooperation Agreement with the aim of implementing the “Program for encouraging energy efficiency in households”. According to Mujovic, the agreement is a result of partnership cooperation, which aims to raise awareness about the importance of energy efficiency and provide support to citizens in reducing their energy costs.
The goal of the implementation of the Program, as an instrument of financial incentives, is the introduction of new technologies in the household sector, which will contribute to the improvement of energy efficiency and increased use of available and renewable energy sources, and result in a reduction in energy consumption, lower costs and improvement of comfort in residential buildings.
“The program will provide households with access to resources, tools and subsidies to improve the energy efficiency of their homes, which will result in long-term economic and environmental benefits,” Mujovic said.
Boljevic pointed out that the signing of this agreement is a key step towards creating an energy efficient and more sustainable community.
“We believe that joint efforts of all partners will contribute to creating a better environment for all of us, while at the same time reducing our ecological footprint and saving money on energy bills,” Boljevic said.
The Ministry of Energy and Mining and the Eco-Fund will provide all necessary conditions to ensure the successful implementation of all activities related to cooperation on the implementation of the Program worth 8,800,000 euros.
